Hernán Tapia is a Chilean deejay and producer of electronic music with special attention to techno sounds.
Born in Antofagasta, city located to the north of Chile. At an early age he began his first mixes in vinyl and also in the nostalgic cassettes. It is at that moment that he immerses himself in the electronic sounds of the late 80s and 90s, sounds such as: Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Jean Michel Jarre, among many. Where the massive use of synthesizers and programmed bases begin to attract him into the world of electronics.
Thanks to his experience at the Experimental Artistic High School (LEA) in Antofagasta, this is where the fundamentals of music are found, and it is also where he understands the rhythmic creation of sounds.
His passion and strong will lead him to be a prominent DJ in his city and soon becomes an event producer with a group of creators and organizers, and at the same time decides to follow a more experimental music for the mid-90’s : The techno.
Their first single called « Soak » was released in 2003 under the pseudonym « DJ Hart » in the late Brazilian label « Pontocom Records », it was an experimental techno, where it began to know the sofwares and samples of musical creation.
After a long study of sound with interruptions, he released his first professional EP in 2011.
Now he is studying new digital technologies and sequencers. Thanks to his vast knowledge of music and his imagination, his musical journeys are intended for the more hidden parts of the minds.
Hernan produces his radio show called « Electronica Zone » the oldest electronic music program in his city, where he educates his auditors with the sounds of House and Techno, goes live and on Fridays and Saturdays from 20 hours on radio Seven 89.7 of Antofagasta.
In a very short time Hernán release some tracks that are made to the enthusiasm of the dancefloors around the world and is still preparing to release many more, tracks that are supported by great techno artists such as Umek, Cristian Varela, Carlos Beltran , Karotte, and others.
